Schools From The Air

Having a close connection with education in the Northern Territory, I can’t help taking photographs of the schools where I can as I fly over them. colourful shade cloth triangles, halls, classrooms, carparks, reception areas, sports fields, school gardens and farms make up the village that is a school.

You can select a school from this dropdown menu or select one of the buttons above to view an album of photos taken by me from my small plane as I fly over the schools that surround Darwin. Because I can’t easily enter the controlled airspace that surrounds Darwin, many Darwin schools are excluded from the lens of my camera. However, when we do get the opportunity as a club to fly a scenic route around Darwin, I photograph what I can.
