Flying over the million-dollar fish

Flying over the million-dollar fish

Well that’s the million-dollar question.

On the weekends when I’m flying my ultralight over the blue waters around Darwin I looked down and see the many fishing vessels dangling a line or maybe dropping a crab pot into the waters hoping at worst a snare meal for the evening and then further up the scale of enjoyment may be bagging $10,000 fish or the elusive million-dollar fish.

I’ve done so much flying around Darwin harbour I’m absolutely sure I’ve flown over the million-dollar fish a number of times. Alas all I have to show for it is some beautiful video footage of others trying to snag a winner.

From where I sit in my ultralight the view is incredible and I just hope the million-dollar fish ends up on someone’s line rather than inside the stomach of a crocodile.
